We enjoyed our second stay at U-Nah-Kinn from mid-January to mid-February.  The condo is in such a beautiful area, and although there are many ' beach walkers' from nearby Bahai Principe, the area near the condo is very quiet.  The beach, grounds, and building are always immaculate due to the attention Ismael provides.  He is also a wonderful translator and source of information.  We didn't rent a car but took cabs, and Ismael helped us to make those arrangements.  Karina, the maid keeps the condo spotless and is a friendly, lovely person.  The condo itself if very nice, and gets an absolutely lovely breeze!  We had a some TV issues and Fernando was quick to sort those out.  It was great to have him visit us this year.

Only one power outage this year after a big, loud thunder and lightning storm, and it was restored quickly. We had no rain during the day in a month! About ten days were windy but still very pleasant.
Security is fine - new locks and safe this year, and we never worried about our safety.

You never need to go anywhere if you don't want to, as there is a roof top restaurant two doors down at Villa Rosa, and the Beached Bikini Bar and Grill a few steps further. Akumal is a $15 cdn cab ride away for shopping and restaurants; Tumul a little further the other way for $20 cdn if you want a large grocery.   We recommend this spot - the ocean is absolutely beautiful and inviting - and in your front yard!
